When you have a family vacation home in the Catskills Mountains, it just makes sense to have your engagement photos captured there!
Our vacation house in the catskill mountains has been in the family for about 60 years and it’s someplace that has always felt almost magical. Rob and I love to spend any spare time we have here riding our quad, reading, cooking together, and embracing the quality time. We wanted to be comfortable and warm for our shoot since it was on a rainy Columbus Day weekend. We decided to wear cozy sweaters and flannels; we’re pretty casual people and wanted the pictures to really look like us!

My favorite thing about Katherine is her constant love and support. No matter how difficult life gets, I can always count on her to keep me grounded and be my peace. With her by my side there’s nothing we can’t overcome.
- Rob
My favorite thing about Rob is his selflessness. He is the type of person who will stop and help anyone who needs it and would move heaven and earth to fix something for me or our loved ones.

The night Rob proposed, we went out to dinner at the restaurant where we had our first date in downtown Port Jefferson. We had discussed going to Billies, the bar next door, to meet some friends for drinks after dinner. I was nervous all through dinner but didn’t suspect a thin. On the walk from dinner to Billies on a cobblestone street under the falling snow, Rob popped the question. After saying yes, we walked to Billies where Rob had all our friends and family waiting for a surprise engagement party!

The best part of being engaged has been the excitement we feel about getting to spend our lives together. We’re at the beginning of our forever and it’s been so fun to imagine what the rest of our lives will look like.

We are most looking forward to the ceremony and finally saying “I do” to each other. It’s something we’ve both been dreaming of for four years.
