Kristen and Patrick grew up in New Jersey and currently live in Chicago, so when they reached out to us about capturing their Inn at Erlowest wedding photos we just had to know how they chose to get married in such a beautiful and memorable place like Lake George!
I grew up going to Lake George on family vacation my entire childhood. Ever since I was old enough to think about my wedding day I imagined getting married on Lake George. When Patrick and I got engaged he was pretty open to whatever made me happy. We considered venues all over Chicago and near our hometowns in NJ before ultimately deciding on my childhood dream of a Lake George wedding. The Inn at Erlowest is the perfect coupling of homey bed and breakfast resort with stunning castle ballroom.

The wedding was originally planned for September 2020 (but the pandemic changed that!) and we wanted Fall colors originally - dark greens with some golds. When the wedding got moved to June of 2022, we kept the original green and gold for bridesmaids and decor but brightened up the flowers with whites and muted greenery. Frank Gallo florist was a godsend, great to work with, so accommodating and a genuinely nice guy!!

I don’t know that I have just one favorite memory from our wedding day. With how long we waited, the whole day was just about celebrating our relationship with the people we love most who have been along for this crazy 12 year ride with us. Whenever I show anyone our photos they just comment on how happy we look in all of them and that is truly how we felt the whole day!

If we had to do it again or had to give advice to those planning their wedding today it would be to invest in the right team to make your life easier! Leanna, our coordinator at the Inn at Erlowest, was a lifesaver in all she did leading up to the wedding. Between her and our other vendors setting the timeline and communicating with each other, it took so much stress off of us the day of and we can’t express how much that meant to us!
